At the Koengisstuhl (118m)

If you reach the Koenigsstuhl from Sassnitz by car you stop at the parking lot at Hagen. From there it is just a 3km walk through the woods to the chalk cliffs. A regular bus shuttle between Sassnitz and the parking at Hagen is also available. The busses go directly to the National Park Centre. A walking trail leads from Sassnitz through the forest to the Koenigsstuhl. A walk on the beach is also possible. This option is, however, not easy because you will walk on a stony beach for most of the time. Photos: E.R.
